The Association of Indian Universities is an apex Inter University representative body of Universities and other higher education institutions in the country. The membership of AIU includes all types of Universities ex. Conventional Universities, Open Universities, Deemed to be Universities, State Universities, Central Universities, Private Universities and Institutes of National Importance. AIU supports the Government as a research-based policy advisory body with the wider mandate of taking up research projects on higher education policy, capacity building.

Apex Professional University (APU) is a Statutory University established by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh vide Act 07 of 2013 and is empowered to award degrees by University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. APU is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi and also approved by regulatory bodies like Council of Architecture (CoA), Bar Council of India (BCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI),National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) and Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council.

Apex Professional University is part of the Apex Education Group and a manifestation of the divine vision of Revered Acharya Dhanwant Singh to establish Pioneer Gurukul in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) on the lines of ancient Gurukul-Nalanda and Taxila. APU is a research driven university, which is deeply committed to its core institutional values of blending the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS).

Association of Indian Universities (AIU) set up Academic & Administrative Development Centres (AADC) in collaboration with Apex Professional University at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh in 2024. AIU will provide seed money to set up the AADC and the programmes will be conducted on a self-sustainable basis to Achieve the NEP 2020 objectives. The aim of this centre is to organise short term professional development programmes for the faculty members and training programmes for the administrative functionaries of the member universities, especially on the use of technology and adopting blended learning methods of teaching.

Digital Literacy and E-Governance: Enhance digital literacy among faculty and administrative staff to ensure effective use of e-governance tools and platforms.
