Objectives
- To provide guidance, support, and opportunities for students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
- To ensure that university policies and programs are inclusive and sensitive to the needs of underprivileged groups.
- To create a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all students, regardless of their socio-economic status.
Key Functions
- Financial Assistance Guidance: Assisting students in availing scholarships, fee concessions, and government aid schemes.
- Academic Support: Organizing bridge courses, remedial classes, and mentoring sessions to support academic success.
- Awareness Programs: Conducting workshops and seminars on rights, social justice, and opportunities available for marginalized communities.
- Grievance Redressal: Providing a confidential and accessible platform for students to report and resolve issues related to discrimination, bias, or exclusion.
- Liaison with Authorities: Coordinating with university departments and external agencies to ensure students have access to necessary services and entitlements.
Target Beneficiaries
- Students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), minorities, and other marginalized communities.
