Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS Course) is a bachelor degree that offers immersive study of textual and practical aspects of Yoga and Naturopathy.
Naturopathy is a form of alternative medicine system that employs an array of scientific and pseudo-scientific practices which are natural, non-invasive, self-healing in nature.
Yoga therapy may be defined as the application of Yogic principles to a subject with an objective of achieving spiritual, psychological or physiological healing or simply development. This comprises application of meditation, study of scriptures, chanting etc. among a variety of other practices to meet the objectives of the subject.
After completion of BNYS program, the student must
- Be able to expertly diagnose and manage common diseases and health problems of individuals as well as community, work with the health team as a fully qualified doctor at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, with his/her clinical experience and skills.
- Be proficient in promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative medicine and therapy for common health issues.
- Be adept in different therapeutic modalities and their administration.
- Develop a humane attitude towards one’s clients and understand their economic, environmental, social, psychological and cultural factors that influence health.
- Possess management skills in human resources, materials and resources management in health care delivery.
- Develop integrity, responsibility, reliability, dependability and compassion, which are characteristics required for successful professional life.

Program Outcomes
The Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences is a 5½-year undergraduate medical degree that focuses on natural healing practices and yoga therapy. The program integrates modern medical knowledge with traditional systems like naturopathy, yoga, diet therapy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and herbal medicine.

Graduate should be able to assess the patients with the knowledge of basic medical sciences & correlate the physiological & pathological aspects of the disease & apply the knowledge & manage the disease by educating & making the concepts clear to patients or students

Develop the skills in competencies, and training that are required to deliver Naturopathy and Yoga health care systems to the masses. Organize and supervise the chosen/assigned health care services, demonstrate adequate managerial skills in the clinic/hospital or the field situation.
