On Wed, 13-08-2025, Apex Professional University, Pasighat had conducted a Red Run Mini Marathon 2025 for its students. The streets of Pasighat came alive as over 80 enthusiastic students participated in the event, organized by the Red Ribbon Club, APU and NSS Unit, APU under the aegis of Arunachal Pradesh AIDS Control Society, Directorate of Health Services, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Naharlagun.
The event successfully promoted awareness about HIV/AIDS among the public with a theme of “Youth for HIV/AIDS”.
Flagged off at 07.00 am from Apex Professional University by Dr.Tayek Talom, Director, APU, the marathon featured categories including boys and girls from APU to Police Station (2kms) and Riba Canteen (5kms) respectively. The Winners of the Girls category is Ms.CHRISTINA PADUNG, B.Ed and the Boys category is Mr. OGAM PASSING, B.Ed.
Mr.Vijay Kumar Tilak, Registrar, APU expressed gratitude, saying:
“The overwhelming participation and energy today have been truly inspiring. This event was not just about running-it was about coming together for a cause, embracing healthy lifestyles, and creating memories as a community.”
The event concluded with the felicitation of the winners and runner-ups with gold and silver medals by Prof.(Dr.)Jyotsna Raj, Dean, Faculty of Law & Forensic Science, Prof. Najim Hussain, Head, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Dr.Abhida Hussain, Head, Faculty of Nursing & Patient Care, Dr.A.K,Pandey, Head, Faculty of Education and Information Science and all the participants were awarded with a participation certificate and refreshments.
The programme was coordinated by Dr.Sridar G, Coordinator, Red Ribbon club, APU and Mr.Shankar Barman, Programme Officer, NSS Unit, APU.
