Its primary objective is to address and resolve grievances raised by students promptly and effectively, ensuring a supportive and just academic atmosphere.
Objectives:
- To provide a platform for students to voice concerns related to academic, administrative, or personal issues.
- To ensure that grievances are addressed impartially and confidentially within a stipulated timeframe.
- To promote a healthy student experience by fostering mutual respect between students and the university administration.
Scope of Grievances:

- Academic matters (assessment, attendance, examination-related issues)
- Harassment or discrimination of any kind
- Hostel, transport, library, or campus facility concerns
- Delay in administrative services
- Any violation of student rights or misconduct by staff or peers
Grievance Redressal Process:
- Students can submit their grievances through an online portal, email, or grievance box.
- The committee reviews the complaint, conducts a fair investigation, and seeks clarification from involved parties.
- A resolution is provided within a specified period, along with follow-up action if necessary.
- Appeals can be made to higher authorities if the student is unsatisfied with the outcome.
The SGRC plays a vital role in ensuring that the university remains a safe, inclusive, and responsive space for students to learn and grow.
